This image shows the sloped area of the lot from the flat area.  The southeast orientation of this twenty foot slope works well for a split level earthship. This area originally functioned as a gravel pit for the construction of nearby US Highway 64 over 40 years ago with the slope being the northern edge of this area.  It appears that part of this lot has been excavated for a split level earthship. Michael Reynolds envisioned this area being reclaimed as a functional neighborhood when he set up the Greater World Community.
