Coming to the front door you see the covered porch and east side of the house with its Northern New Mexico pueblo style vigas.

As you enter the living room you get your first glimpse of the many features that make this house so special. The fireplace provides a focal point. Carmen Velarde (Tao's most famous fireplace builder) designed and built this distinctive hearth. Her fireplaces are known for their beauty and energy efficiency. Here you also see the viga and latilla ceilings and Saltillo tile floors.

This view of the rest of the living room shows the comfortable seating area for entertaining and relaxing. A large skylight at the back of the room bathes this area in light and provides ventilation.

Continuing into the house you come to the hall along the south facing windows. The next room on the right is the kitchen.

The spacious kitchen features a restaurant quality Bluestar stove, beautiful cabintery with lots of storage, and a very efficient large work space.

Next you come to the first bedroom. The skylight in the back provides light in the day and allows you lay back and see the stars at night.
