The Property

This home sits in the Two Peaks area of rural Taos County across the Rio Grande Gorge from the Town of Taos.  Driving time to the town is about 25 minutes. Carson Estates Unit 5 consists of hundreds 1/4 acre lots sold many years ago. The neighborhood has no utilities.

 

 

The plat above shows the location of the house and the shaded lots owned by the seller (in addition to six lots to the south not shown here) are included at the asking price of $120,000. Each rectangle represents one quarter-acre lot. Immediately to the north of the house at the top of this plat, sits a portion of the Carson National Forest.

Upon entering the spacious kitchen from the living room you see this view. Again, south facing windows provide lots of light and solar gain. The sink is to the right of the stove by the window. The door ahead leads to the bathroom. The left, a separate entrance (not in this picture) leads to the the garage.

 

This view shows the home's bathroom.  Just to the left of this picture sits its shower.  The door to the right leads to the greenhouse.

The greenhouse makes the perfect spot for starting your garden vegetables.

 

The garage/workshop area features a large work space. Use it for sheltering your vehicle or using it for storage or a workshop space.

 

This view shows the first first-floor bedroom with the living room through the door. It features its own stove for heating. The door leads to the second first-floor bedroom.

 

The present second bedroom is presently used as a large storage and closet area.  Note the distinctive mud/adobe floors.
